The Safari Guide Opinion
The smallest binoculars in Steiners Wildlife Pro series, that also have a excellent field of view of 333ft at 1000 yards. This means that they not only make good safari binoculars, but are excellent compact birdwatching binoculars.
The compact size means that they can easily fit into the top pocket of your shirt, which enables you to also carry you camera - perfect for a walking safaris and birding holidays.
Like all the Wildlife Pro binoculars from Steiner, they have a tough hard rubber armour that not only feels solid and comfortable to hold, but it protects them very well from any day to day knocks and bumps..

Not the cheapest compact binoculars out there, but also far from the most expensive. I think these offer a good compromise between price and quality.

Conclusion
Excellent quality, tougha nd with a wide field of view. I personally prefer a slightly stronger magnification than 8x, but with a bigger magnification you get a reduced fiewld of view and a less steady view through them. This means that these 8.5x26 Wildlife Pro Binoculars are great compact allrounders, ideal for birdwatching as well as good safari binoculars.
